The Decision

Preparations for our trip to Meteora were in the final mile and the only thing left was to choose the right hotel. With the criteria being quality stay and a wonderful environment, Ananti City Resort was the only direction…! The hotel is located on a hill, a little outside of Trikala, just 15 minutes away from picturesque Meteora, while it is the ideal springboard for excursions to Elati, Pertouli and Lake Plastira. With the panoramic view of the flatlands of Thessaly, fresh air and modern amenities, Ananti City Resort became our haven for three amazing days..

The Ananti

Its plain design and modern architecture blend so harmoniously with the natural environment that it looks like it has always been there, a piece of the Loggaki hill. The Ananti City Resort won us over from the very first moment, because of its simplicity, affordable luxury and earthly colors. To be honest, the outdoor pool, spa, gym and warm owners also helped a lot. The reception desk is open 24 hours and the staff, led by the always smiling Evangelia, is polite, attentive and, at the same time, discreet (the ideal combination).

The Ananti City Resort has an indoor heated pool, free guarded parking, clothes washing and ironing service, a beauty salon, baby-sitting service and an outdoor bar. All areas are very clean and offer free wifi access. As the ideal haven, it could not be missing a hot tub, sauna, Turkish bath, nail salon, as well as massage, relaxation and wellness programs. Finally, inside its three fully equipped conference halls, it can host small-size seminars, conferences with many participants and functions, weddings etc…with an excellent view of the flatlands. The five-star hotel is very organized and offers a plethora of programs and activities. Among them you will find bike-riding in Trikala, Spa Break, the two-day detox, and various excursions/activities in Meteora, Pertouli and Lake Plastira.

Oltre bar restaurant

The Oltre bar restaurant is a special chapter, not only for the hotel, but for the entire area. It is on the top floor of the hotel and gazes all over Trikala and the flatlands of Thessaly. In Oltre bar restaurant we had the chance to taste its amazing Mediterranean dishes made with products of the finest quality. The menu changes according to the season and the chef’s inspirations, always offering the most high-quality result. And, usually, the meal is followed by a night out! With 40 cocktails, relaxing music and beautiful ethereal lighting, there is no better option than the Oltre Bar. What would you say about enjoying it next to or even inside the pool (on specific days)?

In the area of the Oltre bar restaurant the wonderful breakfast is also served, with options for all tastes. Among the wide variety, what stands out is the jams, which are made by the hands of miss Ourania herself (owner)! You can also order the coffee of your choice and enjoy it in its delightful indoor or outdoor space.

The rooms

At the Ananti City Resort you will find 18 spacious rooms, including three luxury suites. The rooms are bright while the large French doors offer a fantastic view of the city of Trikala and the flatlands of Thessaly. They sport plain and elegant decoration, are pretty spacious and have King size beds and Cocomat mattresses for absolute relaxation! A few of the –many- amenities of the room are the mini bar, work desk, safe box, TV with satellite channels and free, fast wifi. Its bathroom is comfortable and has brand beauty products, bathrobes and slippers. Finally, we must highlight that cleanliness plays a major role, for the rooms as well, with the cleaning service stopping by twice a day!

Another important factor is that it is pet-friendly! This way, without any extra charge, your loyal companion can also enjoy some holidays, on a pleasant stay! Finally, all hotel guests are granted free access to the spa facilities, the gym and the hotel’s outdoor pool.
