The decision – Our criteria

And once again the time came that we said “I really need a break”…This time, we searched for a 3-day winter excursion that would combine luxury, relaxation and an adrenaline rush. Are you close to finding the destination? We did, and it is none other than Bansko. The town, during the last few years, has been growing in fast pace and it is now called “St. Moritz of the Balkans”. Hotels and restaurants sprout all around like mushrooms, trying to satisfy the ever growing numbers of visitors, who come to enjoy the favorite winter activity, skiing.

Among the multitude of hotels, the one that we picked out was the 5-star Premier Luxury Mountain Resort, which is located on the foothills of Mount Pirin. And just like that, the puzzle was complete! After we had settled on the destination and accommodation, there was nothing left to do than visit Bansko for…the 3rd time!

The arrival – The hotel

Our arrival could not have been better, as our two-storey loft was warm, while the table was full of champagne, fruit, desserts and snacks to accompany the sparkling wine! As for the view, it was exquisite, with a background of the snowy white landscape and beautiful mountains…The ideal scenery to spend three days of relaxation.

The Premier Luxury Mountain Resort has 111 rooms and suites with four collections of rooms (each collection has different types of rooms), two restaurants (Amvrosia Modern Butcher Cuisine, Dionyssos Main Buffet Restaurant) and 1 bar (Nectar Gastro Bar), which will add more quality and taste to your life! Its interior decoration is modern, with warm/friendly touches, while all areas are squeaky-clean. The staff, keeping up with the general.

The rooms

The rooms follow the elegant concept of the hotel with the element of wood, luxury and comfort having the first word. How could it be any other way, since the smallest room is 40(!) m²? The beds are soft and offer quality sleep, spaces are warm, bright and welcoming, while –here as well- cleanliness has the leading role. In the room there are plenty of amenities, of which we picked out the mini bar, the autonomous heating/cooling, the name-brand beauty products, the free WiFi, satellite TV, safe box, the blow-dryer and the coffee/tea machine. Furthermore, we should highlight the excellent Soundproofing, as well as the quick room Service. In a few words, the rooms of the Premier Luxury Mountain Resort offer a lot of reasons for you to never leave them.

The benefits

The 5-star hotel offers complete Spa services with lots of options for massage and invigorating programs. We tried a complete relaxation and beauty program and we left restful and five years younger…! We recommend it without any reservation. In the same area, there is also an indoor heated pool, sauna, hamam, hot tub and Turkish bath. The Premier Luxury Mountain Resort also provides a Game room, the Kids Club & Animation for children that are guests of the hotel, a Clothing Store, Concierge service, a Gym, Free Wifi in all areas, a large Conference room, as well as an Outdoor pool with a pool bar.

And as for the transportation to and from the lifts, you should not worry, as a van waits at the hotel’s entrance to take you to the gondolas for free, every 10-15 minutes. Finally, we should mention that at the hotel you can find Ski and Snowboard equipment, as well as the chance to purchase a VIP Ski Pass, so you don’t have to wait in the endless line for the lifts.

Breakfast – Restaurants

Breakfast is served in the elegant and cozy Dionyssos Main Buffet Restaurant. The fresh/hot croissants, the freshly-baked pancakes and the delicious, homemade omelets blew our minds, while the dozens of options tempted us! A full, strengthening breakfast to fill you with energy before you go skiing.

For drinks, coffee and snacks, there is the delightfully decorated Nectar Gastro Bar, while for food you will find the best option in town, which goes by the name of Amvrosia Modern Butcher Cuisine. At the deluxe hotel restaurant you will taste exquisite dishes, made with first quality products, which are flawlessly accompanied by some wine from its extensive wine cellar.

The departure and the impressions

The hotel has substantial experience in the industry, as it is the offspring of the ERMIA HOTELS & RESORTS. As a matter of fact, it has received an award for being the best Ski Hotel in the whole country, for the year 2016! Modern, clean, with great staff and lots of benefits. What else can one ask for? The Premier Luxury Mountain Resort has everything one could need for an excellent stay in Bansko. Closing our hotel room door, we kept the wonderful images, flavors and moments from our splendid 3-day vacation. On our future visit, it will definitely be at the top of our list.
