Vienna is a popular tourist destination with lots of people visiting it mainly during the winter and spring seasons. The Austrians have capitalized on their accommodation sites and offer quality stay on reasonable prices. You will not have a hard time finding the most suitable place for your stay, as there are plenty of choices. The quality to price ratio in the city is average, while good service is not one of their strong suits. The cost of accommodation, in a decent double room, per night ranges between 80 and 120€. The distance from the city center has an important impact on the price. This is why there are 5-star hotels outside the ring that have the same price as 3-star hotels in the city center.

The Ruby Marie Hotel Vienna is located on the most commercial pedestrian street of the city, at the start of Mariahilfer Straße (excellent location). Even though the metro station (Westbahnhof) is very close, access to the city center can be achieved through a 10-15’ walk. Do some window-shopping and time will just fly by!

The Ruby Marie Hotel is a hotel like no other! This will quickly become clear to you, as upon your arrival you will have to check yourselves in, through the use of a tablet, simply by signing in your name! As you can imagine, the hotel is very modern, while the characteristics that are more impressive are its warm colors and the beautifully decorated and functional areas. On each floor you will find an automatic vending machine, from which you can buy coffee, snacks, soft drinks, beauty products and more. In the ground floor of the hotel there is a wonderful space, with diverse and, at the same time, harmonious decoration, which stays open 24/7. Their high quality breakfast is also served in the same area. All the common areas are impeccably clean and offer quiet, while the staff is attentive and tries for the best, while always being in a good mood and wearing a smile. Finally, it is worth mentioning that at the open bar of the top floor you can enjoy a few drinks.

The rooms of the Ruby Marie Hotel could be nothing short of modern, comfortable, clean and very functional. The king-size bed is soft and ideal for some relaxing moments, while you listen to your favorite music from the professional Marshall (!) speaker that each room has (connected to a cell-phone or tablet).

Its bathroom is not separated from the main space, but ties brilliantly to the configuration of the room. The space becomes even more warm and friendly as it has a wooden floor, while among the many amenities we find a safe box, a hair-dryer, an iPad, free beauty products, heating/cooling system, a workbench, satellite TV and very good WiFi signal.

The only disadvantages of the hotel are the room’s narrow closet and the lack of parking space!

The average price per night is 130€, which includes the very tasty breakfast, lacking in variety of options, but with very good and quality flavors. This hotel is one of the best options in Vienna. Highly Recommended (H)

The Arthotel ANA Prime is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood of Vienna. The metro (green line) is within a 4-minute distance and will take you to the historic center in just 10 minutes. The 4-star hotel is housed in a renovated historic building and has a good quality-price ratio. Inside it is simple, modern, clean and has a small lounge area. The reception desk is open almost 24/7 and the staff speak English fluently, even though their attitude is not the friendliest. And this is its dark spot, as the cold attitude does not match the style and look of the hotel.

The hotel has a backyard (open space) for breakfast or for your coffee, provides laptops and children’s daycare service. It is also worth mentioning that the free wifi has a strong signal in all areas, as well as inside the rooms. Also, in the surrounding area you will find supermarkets, restaurants, bars, fast food shops, as well as stores that serve breakfast delicacies.

The rooms are comfortable, modern and pretty clean, while the beds offer pleasant sleep. The benefits include a safe, bathroom products, a hair-dryer, closet with hangers, satellite TV, a small working desk, a mini bar and autonomous heating/cooling system. The bathroom is quite spacious and clean, but the towels, as well as the sheets, are not changed regularly.

During our stay in the hotel, the only negative point was the indifferent attitude of the staff. For four nights we paid 378€ (overnight stay tax included). On a future visit we will keep it high on our list.

Tip:

Choose a room on the front side of the hotel and not the backyard, so that you have more natural light and a pleasant view.
