Staying at the 5-star Corinthia Hotel Prague is a great choice of accommodation for a stay in fairytale-like Prague. The ideal number of nights for overnight stay is four, so you can have enough time to visit the most important attractions. It is located in the Vyšehrad area, opposite the homonymous fort, while the metro station is right in front of the hotel and it is just two stations away from the city center.
This enormous hotel is consisted of two towers and there is no building around it that surpasses it in height, so it offers a panoramic 360° view! The hotel offers lots of activities/commodities, such as a swimming pool, a spa, massages, a gym, free wifi, a lounge space, a conference room, restaurants, a bar and a roof garden with a stunning view! We should note that some of the aforementioned commodities are charged extra (for the standard rooms’ occupants). Its common spaces are very clean and tidy, while the service was pretty good and the staff was polite and willing to help with whatever we asked. Finally, their breakfast is quite tasty and rich in variety.
The rooms are good in quality and spacious, while what steals the show is the view from the window (if you stay in a room above the 10th floor)! The mattresses are comfortable, perfect for resting and getting a good night’s sleep. The rooms also include a mini bar, autonomous heating/cooling system, good soundproofing and a clean and spacious bathroom, where music is playing!
But, apart from the advantages, the hotel had its disadvantages, as well, one of which is the very weak wifi signal inside the rooms. Also, the hotel policy does not include the frequent change of sheets, which is pretty disappointing considering the hotel’s five stars. Furthermore, the extremely narrow internet space cannot serve more than one person! That’s why we would rate it as a very nice 4-star, rather than a 5-star hotel.Nonetheless, the price conforms to the quality offered, which makes it a decent choice for Prague. The cost for an overnight stay (in a standard double room) ranges between 80 and 95€, including breakfast.
We stayed on the 13th floor, in a tidy and functional double room and for three nights we paid 270€. It will certainly be one of our first choices, the next time we visit Prague. Important Note: When making reservations, ask for your room to be above the 10th floor, so you can enjoy the magical view that it offers. Recommended (R)
